Hygiene is one of the greatest benefits of no-touch faucets, but definitely not the only one. The movements of your hands activate a sensor at the base of the faucet and the water starts to flow. These motion-activated fittings avoid hand contact and respectively germs transmission. A preferable rate of water flow and temperature can be set to most of these touchless fixtures even before the first use, which will avoid the need of further setting up and hand contact.
A center set faucet typically comes as a one-piece set. It is used to cover a 4inch spread. Many of these faucets are quite fashionable and easy to install.
Put each piece on its place as directed in the manual and use wrenches and other plumbing tools to tighten connection points. Just take care not to over-tighten the points. Double check all connection points and make sure you have placed every little piece in its place. Now turn on the shut off valves and check through the lines, especially the connection points, for any leakage.
Lets start with noting that most no-touch faucets require only one hole in the sink, which means that you should deal with this first. The problem comes from the fact that most sinks originally come with two or three pre-bored holes. So if you are planning to reconstruct you old sink and turn it into a modern one with touchless faucet, you will probably have to replace the sink basin before even moving to the faucet.
